Industrial Machine Parts Manufacturing and Distribution Firm

Problem

The old system, with which they were very comfortable, was a legacy DOS based system that was quickly exhausting its capabilities. The system was composed of conglomerate independent programs that relied on file transfers to provide an exchange of data. Redundant and fragmented data was problems, as was the use of single entries spread over multiple columns to extend field length. On going support of the system was becoming an issue.
